About Murud-Janjira
Murud-Janjira is situated at the coastal village of Murud, in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. This is probably the only secure fort on 720 Kms. Maharashtra costline. Portuguese, British and even Marathas failed to conquer the fort. The fort is spread over an area of 22 acres.There are two water tanks inside the fort and a deep well with cold and sweet water.
