Vandemataram Foundation, in collaboration with SPR Schools of Excellence – conducted a one day workshop for teachers and parents on 22, December, 2013, on “Language, Logic and Life Skills ".

The workshop started with a welcome address by Shri.Venugopal Reddy garu, Founder-Ekalavya Foundation, Dr.G.Bhanu Prakash Reddy garu (Dy.Director, National Institute of Nutrition) and Smt.Geetha Challa garu (Psychologist, Writer)
Context of the Workshop:
Sripathi Reddy garu (vice-president, Vandemataram foundation) presented the theme of the workshop and discussed the importance of Language, Logic and Life skills.
"Books of all kinds can build children’s language and literacy skills, but they do so perhaps in different ways,"
Vandemataram foundation dedicated to helping young and emerging readers with interactive experiences that encourage reading and story exploration. The stories engage your child to learn about language, reading and spelling through playful interaction, loveable characters and music. We understand that each child’s learning experience is different; our goal is to help them build a relationship with vocabulary and comprehension by letting them explore and interact with each story.
Vandemataram Foundation believes that people who are strong in logical-mathematical intelligence are good at reasoning, recognizing patterns and logically analyze problems. These individuals tend to think conceptually about numbers, relationships and patterns. Sripathi Reddy garu has successfully undermined the idea that knowledge at any one particular developmental stage hangs together in a structured whole.
Life skills, such as creativity, judgment, communication abilities and emotion control, are essential for dealing with daily problems and getting through difficulties in life. Also, these skills are vital for children who live under the harsh conditions. Although the attainment of life skills at school has been discussed, the actual practices are not enough.
Vandemataram Foundation works towards spreading this message through an inter-school cultural event to develop children's self-awareness, critical thinking & creative thinking about their present lives which intends to bring out the latent talent in these kids and they exceeded our expectations in doing so, and turned out to be marvelous artists! The workshop went very well indeed and it was a lively group with lot of interaction throughout the workshop.
We asked everyone to fill out a feedback form and when we summarised the responses. we were delighted to see that we received lot of positive feedback from the participants and they will recommend the workshop to others.
We are delighted to know that we have played a small part in helping group of dedicated people by using the powerful ideas for the benefit of their children and the community.
We would like to thank everyone who attended for making this such a successful workshop and we look forward to holding more soon.
