In our Society, there is big information gap between two groups of people. One group- those who
want to give something to the needy and the other of those who are in need. They are not connected
and there is no easy way to connect them too. The giver wants to ensure full utilization of the
assistance and look for a credible, honest and dedicated organization/people to deliver the expected.
Then there are those in need and some who are working for people in need. They are looking for
benevolent people/organizations to support their work. This gap needs to bridged by credible
people in the society and convince friends to generously help the needy.
Here is an opportunity I can offer. 34 orphan girl children from tribal communities of Araku valley are
in Pratyusha Children Home run by a credible NGO "TERDS" (Tribal Education & Rural Development Society)
located in Araku. I am their mentor trying to bridge the aforesaid gap having associated with TERDS in
various activity for the last 4 years.
There has been a shortage of funds for the Pratyusha children home. TERDS has been managing the home
with bare resources just enough to keep the children going. But it isn't yet what we would like to have.
We need more resources. Monthly food expenditure itself comes to a minimum of Rs 1000 per child and there
are other needs of clothing, toilet
items, medicines etc.
Since we are not able get new clothes always for children, we will accept decent used clothes too.
TERDS manage to get 13 girls admitted in Ashram Schools run by Govt in the vicinity of Araku. In holidays
they return to Pratyusha Home.21 more girls are staying in the Pratyusha Home. Immediate needs of the
children joining the School are enclosed as estimated by TERDS Team. However, Pratyusha home needs
regular assistance to run it to provide a dignified and decent living standard to the inmates.
Profiles 26 children are also enclosed for your perusal please. Also peruse the presentation attached which
would apprise you of the state of girl children in more lucid manner. Most of the FAQs are answered in
the presentation. Should you have any further queries, please send me a mail. If you wish, I am willing to
meet you personally at your convenience and brief you further.
The orphanage needs immediate assistance and we appeal to your generosity to take the girl children out
of their difficulty and lead normal life. We would be expecting from you a commitment of few lakhs for
the next three years as part of CSR of your organization. In individual capacity kindly share whatever you
can. For us every amount is essential.
I extend an invitation to you to visit Pratyusha GIrls Home to personally asses the need. I will be willing
to take you to Araku valley to meet the children in distress. Let me know when you are free.
It is earnestly solicited to generously extend your help to this cause. Any amount or in kind is also acceptable.
Kindly pass on this to your friends and relatives yourself to maintain a chain of credibility. We need any
small assistance to ensure the 34 hearts smiling and looking for a brighter life. All assistance to TERDS is exempted
from Income Tax under section 80G.TERDS is entitled to receive funds from abroad under FCRA.
