Army Adventure Wing has been conducting an Annual High Altitude trek to Siachen Glacier for last five years for civilians under aegis of Directorate General of Military Training, Persons from organizations associated with defense forces, Media Persons, Cadets from RIMC, Cadets from Rashtriya Military School, Members of Indian Mountaineering Foundation, MoD, MEA, MoF, MHA, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Defence Accounts, DRDO Scientists, Civil/Prominent citizens of Ladakh, Dependents of Army Persons from Commands, Cadets from CTW, Dependents of Army Persons posted at IHQ of MoD (Army) have been a part of this trek. The first civilian trek was organized during Sep-Oct 2007 on the directions of The COAS with approval of MoD.
The Trek is conducted every Year in Sep/Oct.
Application form, Indemnity Bond and Medical Certificate as appended below reach this office by May for participants desirous of taking part in the event.
