Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour

Duration: 14 Nights/ 15 Days

Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
On your arrival at Delhi airport, you will be given warm welcome by our representative, who would transfer you to a hotel. You will check in and retire for the night.

Day 02: Delhi 
After having breakfast, you will move out for a sightseeing tour, covering important tourist attractions of Delhi, including Laxmi Narayan Temple, India Gate and the Parliament House, during the first half of the day. In the afternoon, you will go to visit tourist spots in Old Delhi, covering Jama Masjid, Red Fort and the Gandhi Memorial. You will return to the hotel for dinner and stay.

Day 03: Delhi- Jaipur
In the morning, after having breakfast, you will be driven to Jaipur by road. After reaching Jaipur, you will check in to a hotel. You can spend rest of the time roaming around the nearby areas. After returning to the hotel, you will retire for the night.

Day 04: Jaipur
The next morning after having breakfast, you will move out for a sightseeing trip to the important tourist attractions of Jaipur, which begins with Elephant ride at the Amber Fort, followed by the city tour, covering the Hawa Mahal, Jantar Mantar, City Palace, Nawab Sahab Ki Haveli, Johari Bazar etc. You will return to the hotel to have dinner and retire for the night.

Day 05: Jaipur- Agra
In the morning, after breakfast, you will check out of the hotel and head towards Agra, which is the next destination in the journey. You will be driven to Agra, passing through Fatehpur Sikri, the old deserted town of the Mughal Dynasty. The prime attractions at Fatehpur Sikri are Buland Darwaza, Panch Mahal, Jami Masjid and Jodha Bai's Palace. Upon your arrival in Agra, you will be transferred to a hotel for check in. Your overnight stay will be in Agra.

Day 06: Agra - Varanasi
In the morning, after having breakfast you will go for a city tour of Agra, which covers Taj Mahal, Red Fort and the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula. You will check out in time to reach Itmad – ud – Daula railway station to catch the train for an overnight train journey to Varanasi.

Day 07: Varanasi
You will reach Varanasi early in the morning, from where you will be transferred to a hotel. You will check in to the hotel. The city tour starts in the afternoon, after having lunch. The half day tour comprises of a visit to Benaras Hindu University, Bharat Mata Temple, Vishwanath Temple etc. You will retreat back to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08: Varanasi - Bodhgaya
Next day early in the morning, you will check out of the hotel from where you would be taken on a boat ride on the river Ganges. This would give you a feeling of attaining Moksha. Later in the morning, you will head towards Bodhgaya, visiting Sarnath on the way. Upon your arrival in Bodhgaya, you will be transferred to a hotel, followed by check in and stay during the night.

Day 09: Bodhgaya
After breakfast in the morning, you will do for a sightseeing tour of Bodhgaya, followed by expedition to Rajgir and Nalanda. Rajgir is an important place of Buddhist pilgrimage. Lord Buddha spent a significant part of his life at Rajgir after Buddha attained Nirvana the first Buddhist council was held here. Nalanda, once a great centre of Buddhist learning, houses the great Nalanda University (founded in the 5th century) and was later developed as a centre of intellectualism. You will return to the hotel and retire for the night.

Day 10: Bodhgaya - Vaishali - Kushinagar
After checking out in the next morning, you would proceed to Vaishali (where Buddha delivered his last sermon and announced his impending Nirvana). The major tourist attractions of Vaishali include the Ashoka Pillar, Lotus tank and Chaumukhi. Travel to Vaishali would be followed by trip to Kushinagar. On your arrival in Kushinagar, you will check in to a hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Kushinagar - Lumbini
After checking out of the hotel, your day will start with a trip to tourist attractions of Kushinagar, starting with a visit to the Mahanirvana Temple, followed by visits to the modern Japan/Srilanka Buddhist center and monasteries. You will further proceed to Lumbini (the birth place of Lord Buddha). After reaching Lumbini, you will check in to a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Lumbini - Kapilvastu - Sravasti
In the morning, you will check out of the hotel, after having breakfast. You will visit the Ashoka pillar (249 BC), Mayadevi temple, the ruins of an old monastery and some new Stupas. In the afternoon, you will proceed towards Sravasti, where you can see the famous Jetavana Monastery and extensive ruins of this ancient city. Upon your arrival at Sravasti, you will be transferred to a hotel, where you will check in for an overnight stay.

Day 13: Sravasti - Lucknow
In the morning after breakfast, you will check out of the hotel. This would be followed by a city tour of Sravasti, from where you would be reaching Lucknow by road. After reaching Lucknow, you will be transferred to a hotel, where you will check in. Your overnight stay will be there in the hotel.

Day 14: Lucknow
Next morning following breakfast, you will move out for a city tour of Lucknow which covers Imambara, Rumi Darwaza and other historical monuments. In the evening you will check out in time to reach airport for boarding flight to Delhi. On your arrival, you will be transferred to a hotel and check in for an overnight stay.

Day 15: Departure Delhi
Next day, you will check out of the hotel for departure/transfer to International Airport to take a flight for further journey.
