About Kemmangundi Hill
Kemmangundi is a hill station in Tarikere taluk of Chikkamagaluru, Karnataka, India at an altitude of 1,434 metres above sea level. Maharaja of Mysore, Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV was charmed by the beaitiful and pleasing beauty of the Baba Budan hills, so he decided to build his summer resort here. The hill is blessed with mountain streams, waterfalls and lush flora. The main attractions of Kemmangundi are Raj Bhavan, Z point, Rose garden, Hebbe Falls, Hebbe Falls and Bhadra Tiger Reserve. This resort is now maintained by The Horticultural Department of Karnataka.
